Your need-to-know snapshot
Global remote hiring is alive and well
Despite growing return-to-office measures, global remote hiring continues to climb, expanding beyond technical roles. Domestic hiring by Deel’s biggest organization countries like the US, Australia, and UK also rose this year.
Salaries and job demand increasing
Most regions saw salaries increase or stay flat on average in 2023. In NAM, results were mixed—hiring was up, but so were terminations, while salaries dipped again.
Terminations up in the US but declining overall
Involuntary terminations saw peaks in the US throughout 2023. Globally, involuntary terminations spiked in January, but we saw 52% fewer terminations as a whole in November 2023 compared to January 2023.
