Sweep hat bereits direkt nach seiner Gründung 2020 mit Deel zusammengearbeitet. Rachel Delacour, CEO und Mitbegründerin von Sweep, erinnert sich daran, wie mühsam der globale Einstellungsprozess vor Deel war. "Vor zehn Jahren, als ich mein früheres Unternehmen leitete, wurde mir klar, dass ich mein Team internationalisieren musste. Die Einstellung von Mitarbeitern außerhalb Europas war eine echte Qual - ein Alptraum wegen der Vorschriften. Ich wollte das Unternehmen schnell vergrößern, aber der globale Einstellungsprozess ohne einen EOR (Employer of Record) war überhaupt nicht skalierbar", sagt Delacour.
Delacour recognized that she might not find all of the expert talents she needed in her home country, so she began to look to other countries to fill positions. However, remote work wasn’t an option at the time, and relocating an employee from another country would be a near impossible endeavor requiring a lot of energy, time, and money for both Delacour and candidates.
She wanted to hire someone from Kazakhstan who was an excellent fit for the company. But because of bureaucracy and the pains of tax administration and relocation, she couldn’t hire them.

When Sweep was founded during the 2020 lockdown, they needed to start a remote international team from scratch, as the problem they solve is global. Delacour thought this would be a massive challenge in terms of time, money, and resources. When she learned about employer of record services and Deel EOR, suddenly it was clear how simple it could be to grow with a global team. Now their workforce would be aligned and scale with the global SaaS potential of Sweep.
"Being able to work remotely with a global team [has] been super transformative for me. I can now get access to top talent without asking them to relocate, and without my company necessarily being an enterprise. My team and any applicant can stay in their home country while enjoying working for Sweep. I’ve been able to hire in London easily, Bulgaria, the United States, and more. Every company and every talent now has the same chance. Everything is possible." said Delacour.

Delacour remembers how only a few years ago that anytime she wanted to recruit a team in the United Kingdom or the United States, she had to consider setting up a subsidiary with an accountant, lawyers, bank account, local GM, and more. Now she doesn’t have to worry about any of those things. She can start hiring in those countries in just a few clicks to test the business strategy locally before setting up any subsidiary.
